Timestamp and other hotkeys do not work when in Canvas

I've started taking advantage of canvas by creating visual maps of concepts, notes, etc. My current flow is that I will add an existing note in canvas where this would contain all the timestamps from the video. The only issue is the timestamp and hotkeys only work outside of canvas and not inside it; even when I am working in a note inside canva. I hope you can enable this feature.
