[Feature Request]: Steps reuse for X/Y/Z plots

What would your feature do ?

Would it be possible to improve the X/Y/Z plot script to reuse previous step calculations instead of redoing them every time, when steps are one of the axis?

Proposed workflow

Same usage as always.
