tried to build it myself but without success on latest void linux, probably deprecated cmake list and I just don't feel like messing with this anymore
you can't run the appimage provided in releases the normal way on latest OSs

flatpak distribution and more compatibility would also be nice, are there any updated forks or builds maybe someone could link me to or something like that?

edit:

this app should be distributed with flatpak afterall, it's better to include it's dependencies in the flatpak so it's compatible across more systems and appimages don't have to be built for each different kind of system
it's pretty silly otherwise

I'm waiting for conan to provide gtkmm and switch to it. See conan-io/conan-center-index#7279
In the meantime I'm not touching anything but feel free to contribute.

Feel free to close the issue if you have anything else to add.

tried it out on latest void linux with glibc, though it didn't run
probably because it's still on glibc 2.32 at the time of writing this (it couldn't find 2.34)
dependencies for running are a pain

void linux has updated glibc to 2.36 today and I was able to run and use the newer appimage without issues however this is still a big issue because of these system dependencies and such
