My experiments with Claude suggested it was pretty easy to let the LLM
choose, based on the particular case. How close the locales being
translated between are, how important/dense wording in the original is, all
in context of the original quote and cost in space and to reader
comprehensibility: it does as good a job with these trade-offs as a human
translator.
The same goes for e.g. localizing currency amounts, paper/book titles, etc.
Actually mentioning "localization" in the prompt can make a big difference
to how good the choices are.

Should we show the original quote in addition to the translation? Should quotes be translated at all?
