Are there any examples on how to use Plasmo with SPAs and client side navigation?

I built a simple extension that mounts a component inline to another one, but as soon as I navigate away from that page and come back in a SPA, the mounted component is gone. The reason why that happens is clear to me, but I couldn't find any documentation/examples on how to best work around this problem.
