Is plasmo not flexible enough in its requirements for project file paths?

If I want to put
./assets in ./src/assets and
./src/popup in a deeper path

it will report an error.

Is there any configuration file that can specify these paths?

I am new to Plasmo, so I might be wrong, but I don't think that's possible. They have strict rules for the file structure.

The only customization I found is that you can put the source code in a src folder instead of keeping it in the root directory.
