You should be able to import your friend's characters as customers.

This implies a lot of tasks, but probably something like a "Customer Roster Editor" where you can:

  • Import a new customer
  • View a list of imported customers
  • View a customer (click their name and see what they look like)
  • Edit a customer
  • Remove a customer

Maybe it would be an extension of the creature editor, or maybe it would be something else.
