Huge translate.log file may cause slow server performance issues

I detected that when the file reaches more than 2GB, can cause speed issues of the response server time. As it grows considerably because of the many issues that the plugins may have when translating SQL instructions, seems that the server start having problems when writing in it, depending on the site's traffic and the kind of problems your plugins may have.

Is there a way to stop generating the file or to reset it when it reaches huge amount of information?
