Enable News Functionality (via Blog like interface)

We need an easy mechanism to launch news articles (short and long) so the best option might be a blog type interface with a news listing (that shows the first 3-5 lines of the "article") for short and long format news.

It would be nice to have the three latest news items on the front page

@DrDrij can we please brainstorm about this.

We can use the current jekyll powered site or we can migrate to using https://mystmd.org/. I will touch base with Executable Books community.
