I think it would be better if there was a function to indicate which items the enchanted book can be used for.

This is actually a planned feature!
Though, it's a little bit complicated to actually implement since it requires a lot of work on designing brand new unique icon textures for the enchantments.

How about just like the function that displays the potion effect of the current Inspectio mod as the user's resource pack texture?

Ok, I totally misread, didn't saw it was for items it can be applied to.
I was thinking about actual icons like potions.
