New Features:

• Added new falling leaves particles to Leave blocks without particles

Leaves block particles:

• All Leaves blocks now have chance of spawning falling leaf particles
• These blocks are affected by this change:
  • Oak Leaves
  • Jungle Leaves
  • Acacia Leaves
  • Dark Oak Leaves
  • Spruce Leaves
  • Mangrove Leaves
  • Birch Leaves
  • Azalea Leaves
  • Flowering Azalea Leaves

Yeah, they already did this for Pale Oak - and Cherries if you count those.
xisuma made a nice showcase of all of them.

That said, right now the vanilla particles are pretty limited and differ from Falling Leaves particles in a number of ways:
They all use the same texture and may not apply to modded leaves (haven't checked).
They also spawn for Birch trees, while Falling Leaves explicitly doesn't spawn them for coniferous / evergreen / big-leafed trees by default.
I'm not certain but I think the way vanilla colors their leaves also has issues with certain texture/resource packs, Falling Leaves gets the colors directly from the textures.
They seem to have a way higher spawn rate compared to Falling Leaves defaults.
They have a much shorter lifetime and pop out of existence instead of fading out.
They always drop from player-placed blocks.
There's also no wind or water interaction.

So I don't think this is the end of this mod.

I'm currently thinking of adding a toggle to choose whether you want to use vanilla or modded particles, maybe for each leaf block, if it's limited to just the vanilla ones. (At the very least one separate setting for cherry particles like there is already.)
Maybe vanilla particles should be disabled by default, except for the cherry ones, similar to how it is now? Really not sure.

I'll probably change the spawn rates of vanilla particles to use the Falling Leaves' ones, which will disable falling leaves from Birch and Jungle trees by default and allows for finer control.

There's also the idea of transfering some Falling Leaves features onto the vanilla particles (or vice versa), though I'm not sure if it's a good idea.
