I have looked everywhere for a solution but I can't seem to find one. I am trying to install Soundflower, however every time I try to it says there was a problem with the installation and I should refer to the manufacturer. Can anyone help me??

read the text here carefully and use this installer: https://github.com/mattingalls/Soundflower/releases/tag/2.0b2

A signed Soundflower (as required by Apple, this version of Soundflower.kext will be installed in the /Library/Extensions folder, not in /System/Library/Extensions as previous versions were). Note that the Soundflower extension is signed, but the installer is not -- you will most likely have to hold the control key down to open the Soundflower.pkg installer for the first time.

The installer will ask for a password. This must be an admin password.

A NOTE ABOUT THE NEW SECURITY APPROVAL REQUIRED BY APPLE
The first time you run the installer, it will fail and display a security alert, with a button to take you to System Preferences "Security & Privacy - General" pane. Once there, there should be a button titled "Allow" you need to hit to give permission to use Soundflower (developer: MATT INGALLS). After giving permission, you will be able to run the installer successfully.

Hi. I'm trying to install Soundflower on a Mac Mini with Mojave but in "Security & Privacy" developer MATT INGALLS doesn't show up as an option to allow?
Anyone know what to do? Henrik

Why not try this driver instead https://github.com/ExistentialAudio/BlackHole? Simple installation and I would be happy to fix any bugs you report.

I also am not getting an "Allow"-button. The installer will prompt you to open the security settings, but it won't actually appear anywhere within the entire "Security & Privacy"-section.

The only way I was able to install this was to disable SIP by booting into recovery (holding Command+R on boot), selecting Utilities>Terminal and typing csrutil disable. Boot normally and install Soundflower. Do remember to re-enable SIP once you're done by booting into recovery, going to the Terminal again and typing csrutil enable.

It took a while, but the 'Allow' button with the text that it blocked an installation from a developer DID show up... when I went in to do 'Install anyway' for BlackHole after giving up on SoundFlowerBed. There were both notifications for BlackHole and SFB. So it does work on Mojave without going into the recovery mode.

Tried to install the latest release. Then again the prev releases. All of them had thrown error short before finishing the install. Then I tried the the source code version to build in the console. Fatal error at script execution.

Not compatible with Catalina. And the subscription for the download is for what? Collecting email addresses?
