Is Built in output in soundflower still a thing ?

Hi,
I have installed soundflower on a mac and no application was installed, yet I can now see it in my preference. But i would really like to use de built in outpout to be able to hear what's being recorded. I looked at toturial showing easily to click on the app button on the bar, but since i dont have an app button how can i do this ?
