Help, the game wont load up after applying the widescreen mod. I copied the two files as per the instructions, but the game wont launch. It works fine as soon as I remove the version.dll file.
I tried this through both steam and local grinding games installer. Once I run the exe, the mouse keeps blinking with busy cursor. In the task manager the game executable is using very little to no resources like memory or cpu - it stays in this state for a few minutes and then terminates automatically.
Any idea what could be the issue or how I can diagnose? Thanks

Ok no problem, thank you for the note! I appreciate all your work and help.
There is a client.exe that does updates and also launches the game. This exe also does not execute with same result. This exe runs fine and produces log.txt file in normal case, but does not launch or create / update the log with the version.dll present.
Also the same thing occurs for POE1. Its strange, I think there is some thing local to my environment.
Update:
Running PackCheck.exe gives no output!
Update:
The game loads If I use the following "global.ini" specifically DontLoadFromDllMain=0 setting. But its not widescreen, and doesnt solve the purpose.
