How to regain stick control on certain steam games

You need to:

1. Mark your controller as hidden on HidHide once when connected via USB and once when over Bluetooth
2. TICK THE "ENABLE DEVICE HIDING" CHECKBOX

This is for the whole Controller not being hidden part of your issue. If only hiding the controller does not work then we see what more can be done

You wanna know something.... I clicked on this then restarted my game literally 1 minute after posting this and it worked. Then I came back here to delete my post and you suggested this.
