Macros have pretty much always been in maintenance mode since I started working on DS4Windows. Funny that a feature I don't use or promote makes this app get the most hate. Other apps can have more exhaustive macro support but that is fine because it comes from corporations that streamers can shill and try to get sponsorships from. Asides from that, it might be possible to try to change the current macro schema to allow more actions for processing but I have no use for it. Also, it would be very easy to break the current macro system as processing is done in several places in the Mapping class as static methods. |

I am aware that DS4Windows offers a feature for setting macros. However, I am interested in whether it would be possible to extend this capability by allowing users to write custom functions that can be triggered by a button press. These functions would check the current state of the button and determine whether it is being held, before executing a macro based on this information. To illustrate, an example of such a function would be one that automatically performs a tap strafe in Apex Legends when the "jump" button is held down and the movement analog stick is directed in a particular way. I believe this would be a valuable addition to the software.
If any updates are made to DS4Windows to include this feature, could you kindly notify me? Thank you.
