The server extender utility to cleanup floating objects does not work, it just floods the log with "clearing floating objects...""Floating objects cleared!" with no change in the floating object count under the "Entities" tab. I have also tried to delete the floating objects manually in the "Entities" tab which does remove it from the list, but they still exist in the world. I also try to use the "/delete all floatingobjects" command, but every time i run it (back to back) it says "{Number of objects} floating objects have been removed" (Sub-statue any number for "Number of objects").

So after much research, this is a Space Engineers bug isn't it? then how are people managing mining debris?

The Clear floating objects method was disabled awhile ago because of some problem. I don't remember the exact reason why.

You can use SEToolBox to remove floating objects, load in the save and select all the floating objects, delete, then save :)
