We are collaborating with a team at NERSC (www.nersc.gov) to implement the DFD (Distributed Finite Difference Method conceived by Yder Masson - e.g. (https://doi.org/10.1093/gji/ggac306)) on HPC platforms and benchmark it against SPECFEM, in particular SPECFEM3D_globe. This is part of a project called NESAP (https://www.nersc.gov/research-and-development/nesap/), which has just opened several post-doctoral positions , one of which includes a possibility to work with us on this project:
https://lbl.referrals.selectminds.com/jobs/nesap-for-workflow-performance-postdoc-6520
(job number 101950).
If you are interested or know someone who might be, please contact me ([email protected]) so I can provide more details.
The emphasis is on the computational skills, the geophysics background is welcome but not essential.
Thanks and regards
Barbara
