Menu List Direction

Is there a way now to reverse the layout of the list and place the first item at the bottom instead of the top?

It would be great if the order of the list could adapt to the direction of the window, so that the first item is always placed near the cursor.

• scenario 1: window points to south

To configure the menu to adapt its direction based on space and display the first item closer to the cursor, you can use the following option:

opts.completion.menu.direction_priority = { "n", "s" }

How it works:

1. direction_priority defines the order of preferred directions for the menu to appear:

   • "n" stands for North, meaning the menu will display above the current line.
   • "s" stands for South, meaning the menu will display below the current line.

2. When set to { "n", "s" }:

   • The menu will first try to display above the current line (North).
   • If there isn’t enough space, it will fallback to displaying below the current line (South).

Example Scenarios:

• Scenario 1 (South - "s"):
  If the menu appears below the current line, the list is ordered with the first item at the top, moving downward:

  current line |
               | item 1 (first selected item)
               | item 2
               | item 3
               | item 4
  

• Scenario 2 (North - "n"):
  If the menu appears above the current line, the list is reversed with the first item closest to the cursor, moving upward:

               | item 4
               | item 3
               | item 2
               | item 1 (first selected item)

This behavior ensures the first selected item is always positioned closest to the cursor, whether the menu opens above or below.
