Add a button in the plugin settings to update the plugin with the latest version. This will make it a little easier to update.

That's easier said than done, unless you don't want to see progression. I need to call a script to update the software. I agree that updating should be easy, but I have no idea how to go about it right now ;)

Isn't it as easy as calling apt-get install <kodi-package-name> or apt-get install --only-upgrade <kodi-package-name> from a script or something?

The latter is really useful if you want to prohibit the installation of new packages but it may break Kodi if it requires a new package, so I would just stick with the first one

Also, recommended to first to apt-get update 😉

You could also try and look into the source of webmin :D
