As outlined in perspectives/fitting/media/plugins.rst, users can run compare, docview and user tests from within the sasview shell.

Add buttons to the model editor frame or entries to Run menu the so that these features can be triggered directly from the GUI rather than running them from the shell command line.

Note: requires [https://github.com/SasView/sasmodels/pull/8] to support the shell commands/GUI options.

Migrated from http://trac.sasview.org/ticket/660

this sounds like exactly what we want .. but not clear we can get it done for 4.1 and not as critical as some other things that need doing so reluctantly moving to 4.2 along with related ticket #870

  • butler changed milestone from "SasView 4.1.0" to "SasView 4.2.0"
