Currently it's not possible to copy a distant database onto a Scalingo database due to the way ES Snapshots are stored.

A solution would be to use https://github.com/elasticsearch-dump/elasticsearch-dump to sync databases.
It would be nice to make a PoC and document it so that our users can use it.
