Shape of ships

All ships can be placed in the "straight" way. So for example the 5x1 ship can be placed like "xxxxx". Of course you can change its horizontal or vertical position. But ships could have different shapes, for instance 4x1 can be set in two rows, each of which is 2x1, or also two rows where one is 3 squares and the second is only 1 square (at the edges or in the middle). Would you add this option to the game so players could choose whether they prefer straight ships or the "fancy" ones?
