In vanilla Minecraft, right clicking rooted dirt gives you a hanging root and converts the rooted dirt into regular dirt. Right clicking Voracious Dirt with a hoe gives you hanging roots, but does not convert into regular dirt, thus allowing for infinite Voracious Roots.
