I have been using Signoz for a few days now at work as a possible replacement of Datadog.
We've been sending Metrics, APM, and Logs to both services and comparing to see what (if anything) Signoz lacks compared to Datadog.
The majority of the things we use Datadog for are covered in Signoz, so a big congrats to the team for developing a great piece of software.
That said, there are some quirks that would be nice to have ironed out in a future release. They include:
Bugs / Small Tweaks:
The time selector field needs autocomplete="off" because when I click into them, auto complete sessions are showing up, blocking the UI
Missing refresh button on the new logs explorer (shows up when using the old logs explorer)
Ability to sort services dashboard by application name
Ability to sort dashboards by name
Features:
Infrastructure host list (table including hostname, otel-collector status, cpu usage, memory usage, load 1/5/15). I'm going to look into whether I can create a dashboard to suffice in the meantime.
Metrics explorer / summary (able to quickly query metrics without having to create dashboard panel or alert, and view a list of all known metric names)
Network traffic monitoring (i.e. how much bandwidth is going from our servers to internet, or to other servers within VPC)
Ability to customise which quick filters are shown on the Traces Explorer
Ability to bookmark/star certain dashboards, or trace/log views
Besides these things, it looks like Signoz will be a great replacement for Datadog.
