Creating a Discord Bot for Skoice

Note: We highly encourage you to follow these few steps very thoroughly in order to get Skoice working properly.

  • First, head to your Discord Applications.

  • Click New Application.

  • Choose a name for your Discord bot.

  • Head to Bot, click Add Bot, then press Yes, do it!.

  • Disable Public Bot, enable Server Member Intent, then click Save Changes.

  • Head to OAuth2, in the URL Generator section. Under Scopes, select bot and applications.commands. Afterwards, under Bot Permissions, select Administrator.

  • Copy the link under Generated URL.

  • Paste the link in a new tab and select the Discord server where you want to use Skoice. Press Continue and Authorize.

You have now invited your whole new bot to your Discord server! You now have to retrieve its token to continue the configuration process.

To do so, head to Bot, click Reset Token, then press Yes, do it!.

You now have access to a freshly generated token. Copy it and follow the instructions that were sent to you on Minecraft.

Note: A token is secret and should never be shared to anyone. Please note that Skoice developers do not have access to it.
