[Feature Request] make webUI install-able on android #161
Comments
What about the "add to home" button? |
its different |
I've gotten this to install on my Pixel 7 Pro in android 13, and it functions well, but when I try to move this icon on the home screen, or place it from the app drawer it instantly crashes the whole launcher. Not sure that this is relevant to this project, but it only happens to this installed web app. |
Try other clients which supports Android, like Sorayomi, JUI or QtUi for now |
Well, the whole reason I had to use the web version was because none of the apps support zoom and my eyes require that feature. |
Sorayomi have magnifier
|
I understand the help you are providing, but this doesn't really offer a good solution. I don't feel it's reasonable to hold a finger down the entire time while reading each panel on my phone. I have physical problems in my hand that can limit me, so I just zoom in to a degree and move the screen from panel to panel. Pressing down on my phone and moving my finger down for like 30 mins to an hours would encumber even a normal individual if they had sight problems. |
PR 737 adds PWA support (add to home in apple). You can only read/access manga offline that you opened before going on line (like you can re-read chapters, but only the pages that you had read) |
What feature should be added to Tachidesk?
some pwa webapps (even self hosted ones) allow you to "install" the "app" to the device so it is accessible from the home launcher
Why/Project's Benefit/Existing Problem
since the webui is a pwa (i think) anyways why not allow users to add it to there homepage
though it would require the user to have ssl setup so its not exactly something everyone will be doing
google seems to suggest that it should happen already (for people with it as https) however i haven't had any luck with the popup happening.
even after altering the manafest.json a bit
