Disable-Nvidia-Telemetry has one fork and this issue exists there, too.

NateShoffner/Disable-Nvidia-Telemetry#17
Sleepydragn1/Disable-Nvidia-Telemetry#1

For those who find this page, Nvcleanstall is the best alternative at the moment. It's available from Scoop's "extras" bucket, but it is not yet available from Chocolatey.
