Trendline with Dates

So, I was studying the trendlines with tauCharts, and I stumbled upon this weird behaviour.

When I'm analyzing Date objects, sometimes the trendlines would not generate before I apply a quick filter zoom.
Here, without messing with quick-filter, the trendline does not generate

But here, when I filter a bit, it suddendly generates

Is this the normal behaviour? I wanted to avoid generating the trendline altogether when something like this happens
