Design of the menu is #275.

Watchout:

  • we don't have a FAQ yet
  • The last option is "Eliminar conta"

It's not clear how we make this menu appear. Do we have design for this?

No design for how this is triggered for now. But, as I said before, we can remove the profile picture on the dashboard and replace it with a menu icon to open this screen.

Is there any other issues created to make that change on the dashboard?

Example of how we could tidy all the options accessible through the dashboard.

Here's the Figma link. Copy updated on the last menu option:

I've created a proposal for this menu settings on the dashboard:
It could look something like this:

Thoughts?

Not sure... the menu doesn't really have settings (but one). It's more of a menu. Maybe the button with horizontal lines is more suitable?

Here I didn't care much about the icon. I want to make sure the menu is still discovered and that would be with an icon that sparks curiosity on the user.

I'm not sure if it's a hamburger menu icon or settings icon.

@fabioscsilva you told me that once the user answers "block" to the browser native notification dialog, you can't go back. Taking that into consideration, does it make sense to have the radio button for enabling/disabling the notifications (see first option in the menu above) ?

Can we prompt the same notification acceptance dialog if the user enables the notifications on the menu?

If not, can we get the information if the notifications are currently blocked for that user and at least let them know what to do to turn it back on?

If I understood correctly, to turn them back on the user needs to do it in his browser settings.

If this is true, maybe we can maintain the dial, detecting the current status, and in case the user moves the dial to enabled, we show a message saying "Siga estas instruções para voltar a ligar as notificações Covidografia".

This is assuming we find a link in Portuguese that explains how this can be done across many different browsers. Alternatively, we can link to generic instructions.
