Plots fail to update if a non-area dropdown is changed after first changing the area dropdown #3

Best explained with an example:

change area dropdown - plots update OK
change non-area dropdown (service, horizon or variant) - plots display data for original area NOT the area selected in (1)
change area dropdown back to original area - plots unchanged from (2)
change area dropdown to area selected in (1) - plots update to show correct data
