request: add open source license

since you have stepped away from maintaining this mod, if possible, it would be nice if you could add an open source license such as GPLv2+, MIT, or another open source license to this code
if you license this as an open source license, that would give people permission to fork the mod and continue updating it for path 8 and beyond
