A brief iteration over the permalink donation page (ie http://trackdons.org/en/donations/33 ). The idea is that this page has clear call to actions in the two main contexts it will be used.

When an external user see the page:

You can see the big top banner, and the bottom CTA. Also, you can anticipate here some other elements of the donation itself:

  • the circle icon is meant to be a "Share" icon (we should design it), and
  • the heart lets you "like" this donation. I'm still playing with this, let me show you some ideas for the project page and see if everything makes sense.

You can also see a header: image - this makes sense when there is content:

Except for the donation comment, which we already have, you will guess that the other things are new. Again, I'm just playing with ideas (more info when I post the Project page).

When you are seeing your own donation:

We try to get you to share your donation.

I like it and I like the reasons why a person donated. It's going to be a challenge.

Some feedback:

  • the claim "Have you donated to Wikipedia?.." maybe could be rewritten to encourage people to donate in the project and then to track the donation. Something like "Donate to Wikipedia and track your donation".

And an idea to consider in the future:

  • I was thinking in showing things that happened after the donation, to motivate people. It could go after the reason of the donation. Just a couple of examples:
    • after this donation 3 more users donated to Wikipedia
    • after this donation, 300€ were donated to Wikipedia
    • after this donation Wikipedia launched the new service bla bla (which is one of the activities of the project)

  • About rewritten the claim: 👍 to "Donate to Wikipedia and track your donation"
  • I like the part of "what happened after your donation", it feels good in that donation timeline we have. Letting it be until we have all those things.

Working on this, if you don't mind. I'm starting with some icomoon icons for now. We can replace them later.
