Doug is wondering why we can't view demographic variables on the map. I realize that it's not the demographic variables that we can't view, but it's the variables that are not unidirectional or bidirectional. However, could we implement the functionality to aggregate these variables on the map, so view the percentage of each zip code that fall into a particular category? This would involve scoring a zip code based on a % of respondents rather than the mean score. So, it is maybe new functionality or a new flag in the codebook.

Doug says:

It would be fun if we could allow one to view differences in:

  • The percent who have a lawn at their residence
  • The percent who water their own lawn
  • The percent who are NOT originally from utah
  • The percent who rent their own home
  • The percent with ties to farming
  • The percent female (among respondents).

We can implement this for variables that are only binary. This could be a new label/flag in the codebook?

Doug has asked about this again. Any thoughts on resurrecting it?
