Perhaps we could use this (or similar) on a page on the UCSB Carpentries site as a resource for learners, especially those that are new to a command line interface such as Digital Humanities people that Ryan mentioned.
The nice part about an in-browser-terminal is that there is nothing to install or configure for the learner.
I ran into this Digital Ocean tutorial which has a nice feature where you can have an interactive terminal right in your browser.
Try the "Launch an Interactive Terminal" big blue button on these above site to see it in action.
It uses https://lyceum.digitalocean.com/term/?image=ubuntu:focal
