Ukraine Relief Efforts Code of Conduct

We are committed to providing a friendly, safe and welcoming environment for all as we work to help the Ukraine.

We are commited to supporting the Ukraine through the development of software and the dissemination of accurate information to support Ukrainian refugees. We do not condone any offensive measures against the Russian government.

Examples of behavior that contributes to creating a positive environment include:

  • Be kind and courteous to others
  • Using welcoming and inclusive language
  • Being respectful of differing viewpoints and experiences
  • Collaborating with other community members
  • Gracefully accepting constructive criticism
  • Focusing on what is best for the community
  • Showing empathy towards other community members

Examples of unacceptable behavior by participants include:

  • The use of inappropriate images or lanuages
  • Any spamming, flaming, baiting or other attention-stealing behavior
  • Trolling, insulting/derogatory comments, and personal or political attacks
  • Public or private harassment
  • Publishing others' private information, such as a physical or electronic address, without explicit permission
  • Other conduct which could reasonably be considered inappropriate

Our goal

The goal of this document is to set the overall tone for our community. This isn’t an exhaustive list of things you can and can't do. Rather, take this document in the spirit in which it’s intended, and try to be your best self.

Scope

This Code of Conduct applies to all spaces managed by the Ukraine Relief Efforts. This includes, but is not limited to, the Discord server and the GitHub organization.

Attribution

This Code of Conduct is adapted from the Adafruit Community Code of Conduct, Django Code of Conduct, Rust Code of Conduct and the Python Discord Code of Conduct.
