Db file is getting huge

Hi, My db file itself getting gigabytes of size and website stopped working due to running out of disk space. Its not the db-wal or db-shm files. Its the actual db file. I think someone is flooding my api url with fake bots and making the db file huge. Its the 2nd time it happened in past 24 hours.

is there any way to overcome this?
