So initially i had error like dota 2/beta/game/dota/pak01.vpk is corrupt verify integrity of game files after I did "verify files integity with steam. I was able to run game but now it always says valve anti cheat was unable to verify that your machine is secure and its annoying. I use nobara system on fedora and few days ago I was playing steam, dota all was fine. so what can I do to fix it ? I do not see any issues with drivers or os

dota 2/beta/game/dota/pak01.vpk is corrupt,verify integrity of game files in the middle of a ranked game
Happens on bith my laptops that run Fedora 40

Also after this happens, if I will not reboot pc, can not update, or run dota again, or even try to verify integrity button doesn't work

EDIT: I may have fixed this by changing compatibility mode off GE-Proton-experimental

Same problem here, just started this morning. I'm on Nobara 39 but otherwise similarish specs as what was posted above.

so what I noticed, is when u enable compatibility mode chose any proton, then validate files, then will turn off this compatibility mode and validate files again, you be able to run the game. also sometime reboot is helping too. but its so much hustle just to run the game
