Steam displays a black screen when GPU accelerated rendering is enabled. #11488

Enabling GPU accelerated scaling from settings -> interface causes steam to look as shown in the picture:

I can however hover over top menus like 'settings' to change it back. Settings and login screens work as expected.

Checked it on the latest beta of steam and the issue persists.

Steps for reproducing this issue:

  1. Run steam 1.0.0.81-2
  2. Enable 'GPU accelerated rendering in web views' option and restart Steam

Steam Logs: [generate by running this command in a terminal `tar -zcvf ~/Desktop/steam-logs.tar.gz ~/.steam/steam/logs`]
