playback resolution is low

Is there a way to increase resolution of playback. By default all streams are at 480x270

found that if changed in settings to ask every time then good resolution selection and playback works. but not in player options.

Exact same question. I am not a premium subscriber to Jio cinema and as you mentioned, the resolution is worst initially and so I go back and restart video but still max I can manage is 854 x 480 and nothing above this.

Do you happen to know how to get 720p or 1080p?

Can you exactly tell me what you did as I find no way to change from the resolution that shows up.
I did pause the video, went to settings - video settings and it shows whatever resolution is right now and when i click that, I only see 1 resolution option. It can be. 854 x 480 or 600 x 360 etc.
