Confusion on Torrent Setting

Hi,
I'm a bit confused about this. In your guide, you set to set the torrent profile and cache size, but what does that actually mean?
I use Torrentio without a debrid service, so I'm torrenting, right? But I haven't set this setting while watching content, and it's worked fine. So what's the real use of setting up the torrent and cache?
