I have a TI-nspire CX-CAS and the firmware for the CX model has two lines of text and a byte (or bytes?) appended to the ZIP for OS/firmware updates. I removed those bytes and the updater tool could recognize and parse the ZIP file, but sendOs simply appears to hang, it doesn't cause a dialog to pop up about an OS update or anything. Eventually it's terminated. Posting for insight but I'll also be compiling and debugging if I can.
Edit: I terminated the transfer early and the CX-CAS does mention "Transfer failed. ...", so I'm not sure. It does require commit a6e4240 just to not immediately error out with "Transfer failed. ...", so I'm hoping it's just a tweak needed somewhere.
