v2.1.0 - New feature release: additional color palette option called SGB2 - looks like japanese pokemon green's SGB colors. Access by pressing A on SGB1 in the options menu.
See https://github.com/Vortyne/pureRGB/blob/master/FEATURES.md for the full features documentation.

Use Lunar IPS to patch pokemon blue for PureBlue or PureGreen. Patch pokemon red for PureRed.

Always use these patch files on the original english game. Don't try to use any on a game that's already been patched.

Any v2.0 or higher save file should work in this new version - but I would recommend loading the save normally rather than loading a save state. You may experience strange behaviour if you load a save state during something that I have changed between v2.0 and the current version. If you are stuck in place on loading the save in the new version, use Fly, Teleport, or Pocket Abra to fix the issue.

Other minor features/fixes new in this version:

  • buffed the base stats of a couple of slower pokemon or pokemon that needed differentiation from other similar options. (Dewgong, Machamp, Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan, Parasect, Vileplume, Muk, Seadra, Seaking)
  • increased the power of Static Snag to 75
  • dewgong now learns Withdraw and Swift
  • machamp now learns Drain Punch
  • fixed a small visual glitch from the original game when attempting to switch to the current pokemon or a fainted one in battle
  • fixed potential glitchiness caused by blacking out in the safari zone

v2.0 - First release based on the disassembly, hundreds of new changes and features versus version 1.0.

Don't try to use any on a game that's already been patched.

v2.0.1 - 29-July-2022 - bugfix - prevents stone evos from potentially evolving to a different pokemon due to a typo

v2.0.2 - 12-Aug-2022 - minor change - each badge up to the marsh badge will increase the traded pokemon disobedience threshold by 10 levels instead of every second badge increasing by 20. Makes using NPC-traded pokemon less of a pain during a playthrough.

v2.0.3 - 13-Aug-2022 - minor change - missingno's type was changed from NORMAL to GHOST/NORMAL

v2.0.4 - 19-Aug-2022 - bugfix - fighting dojo door should lead to the fighting dojo instead of saffron gym (this was a change I purposefully made for testing while working on the code, and I forgot to change it back. Whoops!)

v2.0.5 - 24-Aug-2022 - bugfix - when using the change box from start menu functionality and changing boxes successfully, talking to NPCs would break until reloading the map: this could probably cause other issues by talking to broken NPCs. Now this is fixed and there is no issue talking to NPCs after.

v2.0.6 - 26-Aug-2022 - bugfix - good rod displays "not even a nibble!" when failing now as expected. Also improve the "evolution then learn moves" bug fix code.

v2.0.7 - 31-Aug-2022 - bugfix - fix glitch when picking up an item ball with full items. minor change - there's a PC in the daycare now.

v2.0.8 - 02-Sep-2022 - bugfix - fix layouts of route 12 fishing guru house and vermilion fishing guru house (they used the daycare layout which was changed to have a PC in v2.0.7 ...so they needed to be changed back to their original layout)

v2.0.9 - 20-Sep-2022 - bugfix - menu scrolling was slightly enhanced with an enhancement from pokemon yellow. Less likely to accidentally select the wrong menu item while scrolling down or up.
