Philips Hue Outdoor Motion Detector illumination not working

I have installed a Philips Hue Outdoor Motion Detector (product reference 62547400) on my Webthings gateway (zigbee native) and the motion detector (active, inactive) operate as expected, but the illumination only appears to provide one value - immediately after a reboot and does not vary based on the ambient lighting. I would like to use the illumination values to active a light when it is dark outside. It appears that the Webthings gateway is either not illumination aware or is not reading the value correctly - anything I can provide to help solve this.
