Whenever I open the game, the SEGA logo, as well as the title and opening cutscene repeatedly flash on screen. I'm not sure exactly what is causing it but it makes the game unplayable as the flashing both makes it impossible to tell whats happening and it's just plain painful to look at.

I never had this problem before and I believe it may have been caused by one of the mods I downloaded (either Cutscene Revamp or SA2 Animated, I can't remember) as when I booted up the game to test if all the mods were working, I got a message saying to download/ install something in order for one of the mods to work. I did so and now my game won't stop flashing. I've disabled all mods and restarted my computer, made sure all the mods were up to date, checked the integrity of my game files, and nothing seems wrong so I'm genuinely at a loss.

Any and all help/ advice to help resolve this would be greatly appreciated. SA2 is one of my favourite games and I really don't want it to be broken.

Just to clarify this further, the screen is mostly black, especially during the opening cutscene where nothing is visible minus some random flashing lights, with the title screen background flashing rapidly in and out.

I also just updated and restarted my computer again and its still the same. Also, I just remembered that the message said something about Linux (which I don't have). Hopefully that helps narrow it down.
