This is the file where the eception occurs "/install/page_dbconnection.php"

pressing enter ignores that and continues to install. this is on php 5.5.21

 An exception occured in driver: SQLSTATE[HY000] [2002] Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2 "No such file or directory")
