I'm happy to hear that you're thinking about coming back to XOOPS! XOOPS 2.5.11 is being finalized for PHP 8, and I hope that after we release it, we'll be back to XOOPS 2.6.0, but @geekwright can tell you more about his plans If you need something right now, XOOPS 2.5.11 is a safe bet, but if you want to get involved in crafting the future of XOOPS, then please help us with XOOPS 2.6.0 |
Hi @hyperclock Modules are available here : https://github.com/XoopsModules25x |
I know, use and watch the stable version (2.5.x). I just wanted to know if 2.6.x just stagnated or if it was dropped in favor of a different dev method. Now that I know it's a stagnation prob, I feel comfortable creating, modify or porting themes & modules. I'm thinking of some old XOOPS stuff as well as stuff from Joomla or ClassicPress/WordPress. |
Oh, forgot to say thanx for the info. Sorry about that. |
I've been thinking of coming back to using XOOPS and wanted to grab some old modules to make them work, but if development on this version has ceased, then I'd rather like to know what's going on.
I've been waiting for years to use this, but 2 years and no commits. May think of forking and forging an older version of XOOPS.
