Output of disabling primary category

Please give us a description of the issue

I cannot see any output when I use the filter add_filter( 'wpseo_primary_term_taxonomies', '__return_empty_array' );. I am using the code snippet plugin to add the filter. So, is the filter not required anymore since Yoast SEO's breadcrumb settings allow us to add/disable post category?

If not, where we should see the output that we have disabled the category?
