Modify startup to create a surrogat for the missing proxy functionality

I have the problem that I am forced to use a proxy, but - as I found in the issues - proxy
is not supported (not a good privacy indicator though).
It would be enough to start the coapp using "socksify "
but I do not know, where the startcode is located.
Could i replace the coapp with a wrapper or modify
th startup code - which, I expect, is in the browser plugin
(on which I am not an expert).
