When I first started this project I did not really plan to share it, I was just solving my own problem. But because I've been involved in open source communities for a long time, and I realized some other people might benefit from it, I figured I should put it up here on github. Without actually thinking carefully about it I just slapped an Apache 2 license on it and went on my merry way.
Over time this project has grown a LOT, and I have not paid attention to the licensing for the libraries I was pulling in. If I'd had any intentions to try to commercialize any of this I would have thought more carefully, but since it was just for fun, I didn't bother. Most recently though, as noted in issue 105, if we want to use StyleTTS2 as it stands today, we would likely need to change the license to GPL.
I don't have any concerns with that, and running licensecheck against requirements.txt shows that we're already importing a bunch of GPL-licensed libraries anyway!
